On Tuesday 4th October we have John Corey coming to the Co-Op, John is a multi-national landlord, with properties from Hawaii to Bradford. 11 time zones and two oceans in between, just imagine the work he has to get through.
John started in the technology sector. After a degree in Computer Science, he moved to California’s Silicon Valley. He worked at Hewlett Packard and later NeXT Computer. NeXT is today’s Apple. While at NeXT, John spent about a year working directly for Steve Jobs.
Early in his time at Hewlett Packard, John went from renting a room in a house to being the owner of a house which he let out as a resident landlord. Call it an HMO California style. John purchased his first house, ‘nothing down’ after a weekend course by the same name, Nothing Down.
John moved to the UK in 1994, when he joined Swiss Bank Corp. Today’s UBS. He bought his first home in the UK that same year. He started his UK investing around the turn of the millennium.
Join us on Tuesday 4th October, where John will be sharing his knowledge on raising finance – Debt or Equity.
